These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Koti (“Koti,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a shared home-life app for tasks, shopping lists, events, notes, and home coordination.
By using Koti, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What Koti Does
Koti helps people who live together keep home life in sync. The App may include features such as:

Koti is intended for everyday home coordination. It is not intended for emergency use, medical use, legal recordkeeping, financial recordkeeping, or any other high-risk use.
3. Accounts
To use Koti, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Homes and Members
Koti lets users create shared “homes” and invite other members.
A home may have an owner, admins, and members. The home owner may have special permissions, including the ability to manage or delete the home.
If a home is deleted, the content inside that home may also be deleted, including tasks, shopping items, events, notes, member records, and related data.
We may add, remove, or change home roles and permissions over time.
5. Your Content
You and other members may add content to Koti, including tasks, shopping items, events, notes, home names, member names, and similar information (“User Content”).
You keep ownership of your User Content. By using Koti, you give us permission to store, process, display, sync, and transmit your User Content as needed to provide the App.
You are responsible for the content you add. Do not use Koti to store or share content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate.
6. Shared Content
Content added to a shared home may be visible to other members of that home.
For example, members of a home may be able to see shared tasks, shopping items, events, notes, home information, and member information.
Only add content to a shared home if you are comfortable sharing it with the other members of that home.
7. Invitations and Join Requests
Koti may support invite links and request codes.
Invite links may allow someone to join a home automatically if they have a valid link. Request codes may allow someone to request access to a home, but access may require approval by an admin or owner.
You are responsible for sharing invite links and request codes carefully.
We may expire, revoke, limit, or regenerate invite links or request codes for security reasons.
8. Koti Plus and Paid Features
Koti may offer optional paid features through Koti Plus.
Koti Plus may include features such as:
- More homes
- More members per home
- Multiple shopping lists
- Recurring tasks
- Custom reminders
- Additional premium features added over time
The exact features, limits, pricing, trial availability, and billing terms may vary by platform, country, store, and time.
9. Billing, Trials, and Cancellations
Koti Plus subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google, not directly by us.
Your subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled according to the rules of the store where you purchased it.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
If a free trial is offered, you may be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before the end of the trial period.
We do not control Apple’s or Google’s billing systems, refund decisions, renewal timing, or payment methods.
10. Subscription Changes and Limits
If your subscription ends, expires, is cancelled, refunded, revoked, or cannot be renewed, your account or homes may lose access to Koti Plus features.
We will not intentionally delete your home content simply because your subscription ends. However, some actions may be restricted, such as creating additional homes, inviting more members, creating premium items, or using premium-only features.
If a home is over the free plan limits after Koti Plus ends, the home may remain accessible, but adding more members or using premium features may require an active Koti Plus subscription.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Koti for illegal, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent activity
- Attempt to access another user’s account or home without permission
- Interfere with the security or operation of the App
- Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or exploit the App except as allowed by law
- Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the service
- Use Koti to harass, threaten, or harm others
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe these Terms are being violated.
12. Privacy
Your use of Koti is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Please read it to understand what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
13. App Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Koti at any time.
We may add, remove, rename, or change features, including free and paid features.
We will try to avoid changes that unfairly disrupt active users, but we cannot guarantee that every feature will always remain available.
14. No Warranty
Koti is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or always available.
Koti is intended as a convenience tool for home coordination. You should not rely on Koti for emergencies, critical reminders, legal obligations, medical needs, or time-sensitive situations where failure could cause harm.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or service interruptions.
Our total liability for any claim related to Koti will be limited to the amount you paid for Koti Plus during the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16. Account Deletion
You may request account deletion from within the App, if available, or by contacting us at [SUPPORT EMAIL].
Deleting your account may remove your personal account data. However, content you created inside shared homes may remain visible to other home members unless the home or content is deleted, depending on how the App handles shared content at the time.
17. Termination
You may stop using Koti at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, create risk for other users, or if we are required to do so by law.
18. Governing Law
